Quickstart
In this tutorial you will log in to PlaneConnection, get oriented in your workspace, and learn how to move between the Safety Management System and Flight Operations modules. By the end, you will know where everything lives and how to get around. You will need an active PlaneConnection account and your workspace URL to follow along. If you do not have an account yet, ask your workspace administrator to invite you.
If your organization has enabled two-factor authentication (TOTP), you will be prompted to enter a six-digit code from your authenticator app after submitting your credentials.
PlaneConnection supports TOTP-based multi-factor authentication. You can set this up from Settings > Security once you are logged in.
After successful authentication, you will land in your workspace. The URL will include your workspace slug — for example,
app.planeconnection.com/skyline/safety/dashboard.The sidebar is your main way to navigate. Each item in the sidebar takes you to a different section of the current module.
PlaneConnection has two modules, and you can switch between them at any time using the Module Switcher at the top of the sidebar.
- Safety Management System — for safety reports, investigations, risk assessments, and compliance
- Flight Operations — for trips, aircraft, crew, dispatch, and scheduling
The module switcher remembers which module you were last using. When you log in again, you will return to the same module.
You now know how to log in, find your way around the workspace, and switch between modules. Here is where to go next depending on your role:
