The Aircraft page in the Operations module is your fleet management hub. Track aircraft status, flight hours, landings, and maintenance discrepancies (squawks) in one place.

Prerequisites

  • You must have the admin or safety_manager role to add or modify aircraft.
  • All roles can view fleet information.

Steps

2
In the Operations module sidebar, click Aircraft under the Fleet section. The aircraft management page shows a data table of your entire fleet.
3
Add a new aircraft
4
Click Add Aircraft in the top-right corner to open the aircraft creation form. Enter:
5
  • Registration: The aircraft tail number (e.g., N12345).
  • Make: The aircraft manufacturer (e.g., Cessna, Gulfstream, Bombardier).
  • Model: The aircraft model (e.g., Citation CJ3, G650, Challenger 350).
  • Status: Set the initial status (Active, Maintenance, or Retired).
  • 6
Click Save to add the aircraft to your fleet.
    7
    View fleet overview
    8
The aircraft list displays the following columns, all sortable:

    10
Use the search bar to filter aircraft by registration, make, or model.
    11
    View the full aircraft report
    12
Click View on any aircraft row to open its detailed report. The full report includes:
    13
  • Complete aircraft specifications
  • Hour and landing totals
  • Maintenance history
  • Associated trip history
  • Active discrepancies (squawks)
  • 14
    Track aircraft hours and landings
    15
Aircraft hours and landings are automatically updated as trips are completed and flight logs are entered. The fleet summary at the bottom of the aircraft page shows aggregate totals:
    16
  • Total active aircraft count
  • Aircraft in maintenance
  • Combined total flight hours
  • Combined total landings
  • 17
    Manage aircraft status
    18
Change an aircraft’s status to reflect its operational availability:
    19
  • Active: Aircraft is available for flight operations.
  • Maintenance: Aircraft is undergoing maintenance and unavailable for trips.
  • Retired: Aircraft is no longer part of the fleet.
  • 20
Retiring an aircraft is a permanent action. The aircraft record is preserved for historical reporting but will no longer appear in active fleet views or be available for trip assignment.
    21
    Monitor discrepancies (squawks)
    22
Discrepancies (also called squawks) are maintenance items reported against an aircraft. Access these from the Discrepancies page (searchable via Cmd+K).
    23
    Each discrepancy includes:
    24
  • Description of the issue
  • Severity (open, deferred, resolved)
  • Date reported
  • Resolution status
  • 25
Open squawks are counted in the Ops Command Center KPI strip as “Open Squawks.” This provides at-a-glance visibility into fleet maintenance needs.
    26
    Delete an aircraft
    27
Click Delete on the aircraft row to remove it from your fleet. A confirmation dialog will appear. Deleting an aircraft sets its status to “retired” — the record is preserved for regulatory and historical purposes.

    Fleet summary

The Fleet Summary section at the bottom of the aircraft page provides a quick overview:
    • Number of Active aircraft (green)
    • Number In Maintenance (amber)
    • Total Hours across the fleet
    • Total Landings across the fleet
