The My Safety dashboard is your personal view of safety responsibilities within your organization’s SMS. Every workspace member sees their own version of this page, tailored to their assigned reports, CPAs, training, and investigation tasks. It is designed to help you stay current on your safety obligations and contribute actively to the reporting culture your SMS depends on. By the end of this tutorial, you will know how to read your personal stat cards, manage your action items, review your recent reports, track training progress, and use the quick-submit buttons to file reports efficiently.
Who should do this tutorial? Everyone. Pilots, crew, dispatchers, maintenance staff, safety managers, and executives all have a My Safety dashboard. No special role or permission is required — if you are a member of a workspace, this page is available to you.Time to complete: About 5 minutes.Prerequisites: Signed into your workspace with access to the Safety module.

Opening My Safety

Navigate to the Safety module using the module switcher. In the sidebar, click My Safety. The page loads with data specific to your user account.

Personal Stat Cards

Four stat cards at the top of the page summarize your current safety posture:
CardWhat It ShowsColor Behavior
My Open ReportsNumber of safety reports you submitted that are still open (not closed or resolved).Info (blue) — neutral indicator.
My CPAs DueNumber of corrective or preventive actions assigned to you that are not yet verified or closed.Warning (amber) if any are due.
Training DueCount of training assignments approaching or past their due date.Error (red) if any are overdue.
Days Since Last ReportNumber of days since you last submitted a safety report.Neutral. A high number is not inherently bad, but consistent reporting is encouraged.
Check your stat cards at the start of each workday. If you see amber or red indicators, those items should be your first priority. A quick daily check takes less than a minute and keeps you ahead of deadlines.

My Action Items

The action items section lists everything assigned to you that requires attention. It is organized with tabs to help you filter:
TabWhat It Shows
AllEvery open action item across all categories, sorted by due date.
CPAsCorrective and preventive actions assigned to you.
TrainingTraining assignments with upcoming or past due dates.
InvestigationsInvestigation tasks where you are an assigned investigator or contributor.
Each item shows its title, due date, and current status. Overdue items are highlighted in red so they stand out immediately.
When you have no open action items, the section displays an empty state with the message “You’re all caught up!” — a confirmation that you have addressed everything currently assigned to you.

My Recent Reports

A compact table shows the five most recent safety reports you have submitted:
ColumnDescription
DateWhen you submitted the report.
TitleThe report title. Click to open the full report detail page.
StatusCurrent status of the report (New, Under Review, Investigating, Closed, etc.).
FeedbackWhether the safety team has provided feedback on your report.
This section gives you quick visibility into what happened with the reports you filed. Seeing that your reports are reviewed, investigated, and acted upon reinforces trust in the reporting system.
If your recent reports show “Under Review” for an extended period, your safety manager may have a backlog. You can follow up directly or raise it at your next safety committee meeting. Timely feedback is critical for sustaining a healthy reporting culture.

Training Progress

The training card shows your personal training compliance status:
  • A radial progress bar displays your overall completion percentage across all assigned training domains.
  • A list of your next three due items appears below the chart, each linked to the relevant training module so you can start a session immediately.
  • A View All link navigates to your full training progress page.
Training compliance is tracked under 14 CFR 5.91. Your completion data is recorded as evidence of SMS competency development and is retained per the record retention requirements in 14 CFR 5.97.

Quick Submit Buttons

Three prominent buttons at the top of the page provide fast access to the most common submission forms:
ButtonWhat It OpensWhen to Use
Safety ReportThe safety report submission formYou observed a hazard, incident, near miss, or have a safety concern or suggestion.
Hazard ReportThe report form with Hazard type pre-selectedYou identified a specific condition that could contribute to an aircraft accident.
FRATThe Flight Risk Assessment ToolYou are preparing for a flight and need to evaluate pre-flight risk factors.
You can also submit reports using the keyboard shortcut N R or the command palette (Cmd+K and search “New Safety Report”). The quick-submit buttons on My Safety are designed for convenience when you are already on the dashboard.

Compliance Overview (135D Operators)

This section appears only for workspaces configured with the 135D peer group (sole individual operators). If your organization has employees and uses a different peer group, this section is not displayed.
For 135D operators, the My Safety dashboard becomes the primary operational view. An additional Compliance Overview section appears with:
  • An EP completion chart showing progress on Existing Processes elements from the DCT assessment.
  • A next review due date for your self-assessment cycle.
  • A compact compliance checklist summarizing your Part 5 status at a glance.
This adaptation reflects the FAA’s intent for single-pilot operators to manage their SMS through a streamlined interface proportional to their operation’s complexity.
