By the end of this tutorial, you will have logged in to PlaneConnection, navigated your workspace, and switched between the Safety, Operations, Maintenance, and FBO modules.
You will need an active PlaneConnection account and your workspace URL to follow along. If you do not have an account yet, ask your workspace administrator to invite you.

Step 1: Log in to PlaneConnection

Open your browser and navigate to the sign-in page:

Enter your email address and password, then click Sign In.

If your organization has enabled two-factor authentication (TOTP), you will be prompted to enter a six-digit code from your authenticator app after submitting your credentials.

After successful authentication, you land in your workspace. You should see your dashboard with the sidebar on the left. Notice that the URL includes your workspace slug — for example, app.planeconnection.com/skyline/safety/analytics.

Step 2: Explore your workspace

Look at the page layout and locate these three areas:

  • Sidebar (left): The primary navigation for the current module.
  • Module Switcher (top of sidebar): A dropdown button showing the currently active module (Safety, Operations, Maintenance, or FBO).
  • Main content area (center): Where page content appears — dashboards, forms, data tables, and detail views.

    Click a few sidebar items to see how the main content area changes. You should see different pages load as you click each item.

    Step 3: Switch between modules

  • Look at the top of the sidebar for the module switcher button. It displays the name of your current module (for example, “Safety” with a shield icon).
  • Click the module switcher button. A dropdown menu appears showing all four modules: Safety Management System, Flight Operations, Maintenance, and FBO Management.
  • Click a different module.

    You should see the sidebar navigation update to show that module’s sections, and you are taken to the module’s default page.

    Try switching to each of the four modules. Notice how the sidebar items change for each one.

    The module switcher remembers which module you were last using. When you log in again, you return to the same module.
