By following this guide, you will assign training to personnel, monitor completion compliance, review individual records, and export training data for audits.
Who should read this: Safety managers and training administrators.Prerequisites: Admin or Safety Manager role in your workspace. Access to the Safety module.
This page covers day-to-day training administration — assigning training, monitoring completion, and reviewing records. For analytics, the adaptive practice system, and spaced repetition, see Manage Training Analytics.

Assign Training to Personnel

1
Step 1: Open the assignment page
2
Navigate to Safety > Training > Assign.
3
Step 2: Select personnel
4
Select individuals or groups from the crew list.
5
Step 3: Choose training and set due date
6
Choose training domains or specific courses to assign and set a due date for completion.
7
Step 4: Confirm the assignment
8
Submit the assignment. Assigned crew members receive a notification.
Assigned crew members receive a notification and see the training on their personal dashboard. Training assignments carry forward until completed or removed by an administrator.
Assign training by domain rather than individual courses to ensure comprehensive coverage. The adaptive engine selects appropriate items within the domain based on each learner’s proficiency.

Monitor Training Compliance

Navigate to Safety > Training > Compliance for an organizational view of training status.
ViewWhat It Shows
By PersonEach crew member’s completion status across assigned domains.
By DomainCompletion rates for each training domain across the organization.
OverduePersonnel with training past their due date.
UpcomingTraining due within the next 30, 60, or 90 days.
Use filters to narrow the view by role, department, or aircraft type assignment.

Review Individual Training Records

Navigate to Safety > Training > Records and select a crew member to view their training history. Individual records show:
  • Completion dates and session results
  • Domain-level proficiency progression
  • Compliance status against assigned training
  • Historical trend of training activity

Export Training Records

1
Step 1: Open the records page
2
Navigate to Safety > Training > Records.
3
Step 2: Start the export
4
Open the export tool from the page header.
5
Step 3: Configure and download
6
Select the date range, personnel, and domains to include, then download the CSV file.
Exported records satisfy 14 CFR Part 5 Section 5.91 documentation requirements for safety competency training. Records include completion dates, domain coverage, and individual results.

Understand Adaptive Session Behavior

The training engine uses adaptive difficulty calibration and spaced repetition to personalize each learner’s sessions. For a full explanation of how these algorithms work — including mastery levels (C1—C8), confidence ratings, and keyboard shortcuts for practice sessions — see Manage Training Analytics.

Remove or Modify Training Assignments

Navigate to Safety > Training > Assign, find the existing assignment, and update the due date or remove it. Removing an assignment does not delete completed training records. Historical records are retained per Part 5 Section 5.97 requirements.
